Finance Director / Head of Accounts - Middlesex / West London My client is a firm of Chartered Surveyors specialising in Residential Block management across Greater London / The inner M25. Priding themselves on outstanding, bespoke personal service they specialise in managing blocks and estates that have gone through the Right to Manage process or are already established with long running Resident Management Companies on site. They also retain and manage a number of freeholder and investor appointed estates and blocks and endeavour to provide a property management service above and beyond expectations. Due to expansion they are now looking for a Finance Director / Head of Accounts to join the team and be responsible for managing the Accounts Department and overseeing all financial systems. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
• Ensuring compliance with RICS Client Money Rules.
• Preparing complex service charge accounts and resolve queries.
• Handling financial side of handovers of new managements.
• Ensuring all service charge accounts are produced by the team on time and are checked.
• Preparing financial report for large clients when needed.
• General troubleshooting on all accounts/financial issues.
• Ensuring IT issues are quickly resolved, liaising with Office Manager and IT suppliers.
• Control of the company bookkeeping, accounts and financial planning - liaising with firm's accountants.
• Monitoring of cash flow.
• Identifying savings and efficiencies for both clients and the firm.
• Improve efficiency of working practices.
• Promote the business through provision of first-class professional service. The successful Finance Director / Head of Accounts is required to have worked for a Chartered Surveyors or Managing Agents previously and have extensive service charge accounts experience alongside staff management / managing an accounts department. Previous experience in using QUBE would be beneficial as well as SAGE. Remuneration for the successful Finance Director / Head of Accounts will range from £50-60k to start with genuine career prospects and ongoing professional development.
