Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who has had experience managing Payroll Team and processes. You will have overall accountability for a timely and accurate payroll service for the GVC business in accordance with established guidelines, standards and timelines. You will effectively manage and develop the payroll team as well as supporting the Global Payroll Manager to deliver GVC payroll for our UK business. Accountabilities
• Ensures compliance with audit and control requirements, including GDPR
• Responsible for monitoring SLAs and completing payroll for all GVC colleagues in a timely manner
• Ensures payroll processing timescales are met, liaising with internal teams (HRSS, ERP, Productivity, Reward, Finance, Tax and audit) and external (Capita, HMRC) where necessary to keep to deadlines
• Full understanding of whole end-to-end payroll Oracle processes and the running order
• Overseeing the running of all processes on Oracle
• Reviews and first approval for gross to net calculations according to the established deadlines, ensuring the timely submission of payroll BACS file
• Maintains current knowledge of payroll legislation
• Serves as an escalation point of contact for payroll service delivery
• Oversight of payroll related pension activities to ensure accurate and timely payroll completion
• Delegating payroll processing tasks to supervisors or administrators where appropriate, ensuring whole team is utilised
• Acts as business lead for resolving high impact payroll issues or activities, communicating with key stakeholders and ensuring successful resolution
• Continuously drives for process improvement
• Builds relationships internally and externally to support the delivery of payroll
• Line management responsibility for payroll team, developing the team to deliver on their responsibilities to the best of their ability, particularly imbedding new / improved processes
• Provides opportunities to team members for development, ensures all team members have clear objectives and these are reviewed in line with business and individual requirements Specialist Skills and Experience Required

• Competent with spreadsheets and high volumes of data
• Familiar with Oracle Payroll software
• Understanding of tax procedures
• Familiarity with benefits and other wage deductions
• Ability to work to a deadline under pressure with minimum supervision,
• Sound decision-making and organisational skills,
