Partner Financial have been engaged by a global technology and engineering organisation based in London to identify a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. The business is considered a market leader and have ambitious strategies in place to grow over the next 3 - 5 years. This new appointee will act a key business partner and advisor to the leadership team to achieve these objectives. The role will require a hands-on and dynamic individual who can lead the delivery of the planning process across the group and provide insightful analysis and commercial decision support to the leadership teams, including the Group CFO and Business Unit Directors. Responsibilities:
Ownership of the planning models for the Group Consolidation - LRBP, forecasting, annual budget and liaising with the business unit finance leads to ensure timely and accurate submissions. Building strong relationships with the business unit leaders to challenge budget, forecast, risk, opportunities, ensuring the process is efficient and developed where required; Working closely with the Reporting Manager and reviewing the monthly outputs; Producing regular, relevant and insightful group forecasting and planning packs for reporting to the board, ideally utilising new technologies and techniques like Tableau; Ad-hoc scenario modelling and analysis around transactions, M&A, financing etc; Ensuring a continuous improvement ethos is instilled within the planning process across the business units and group; Partnering with the Business Unit Finance Directors and executive team, to produce models and analysis for potential M&A targets, projects and strategic initiatives; Ad-hoc analytical and commercial projects as required by the leadership team; Business case preparation and review; The ideal profile for this role, will be a Chartered Accountant trained in a top-tier practice, with extensive experience within FP&A in a large and complex group with the proven ability to partner with business units and provide commercial and financial advice to non-financial stakeholders; the ability to influence and drive an agenda will be key to succeeding in this role. This individual would ideally have exposure to M&A and/or Due Diligence with excellent communication, organisation and relationship building skills.
