Senior Financial Accountant - Tachbrook Park (18month FTC) £40,000 - £45,000pa dependant on experience. Creating a better world, a better company, and a more fulfilling future... The Finance department at Calor Gas are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure the integrity of the ledger, maintain Calor's statutory accounts, provide project governance, and manage our CAPEX process. You will ensure there is proper control over all balance sheet accounts, ensure adherence to professional accountancy standards, and partner with the business to support budget holders and maintain compliance. Key responsibilities will include: Maintain the integrity of all transactions within the balance sheet and fixed assets system to ensure the accurate production of balance sheet reports Manage the balance sheet account reconciliation process to ensure that all reconciliations are performed Manage the CAPEX process, providing advice and support to budget holders, ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory and best practice accounting standards Day-to-day management of the Fixed Asset Accountant, providing support and guidance where required. Responsible for the Calor Group statutory and SHV audits, acting as the main point of contact for external auditors Manage the production and review of the UK statutory accounts Project Hertz Governance. This requires co-ordination with SHV Energy to ensure compliance with agreed definitions and guidelines Production of the balance sheet budget in-line with SHV deadlines Support the Finance Transformation Project with the continuous review of processes, identifying and implementing process improvements where necessary Reporting responsibility for a number of Calor Group undertakings Monthly consolidation accounting entries Production of the UK GAAP trial balance on a quarterly basis Ad-hoc projects in response to specific business needs As such we would like you to: Be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with strong post qualification experience Experience in a financial accounting environment with a good working knowledge to statutory accounts level Challenge the status quo - track record of identifying opportunities to improve systems, reports, information and data Be an effective communicator across all levels of the business Have strong project management skills with a focus on deadlines Demonstrate sound decision making skills Be digital savvy with advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel.
