To be responsible for managing the day to day audit work; flagging up issues to your Audit Manager at an early stage; training Audit Assistants as needed; ensuring deadlines and budgets are met and the audit file is presented for review as a complete file, finished to a good standard and signed off. You will be responsible for working closely with your Audit Manager and Assistants to ensure the audit work is handled effectively from start to finish and is done in accordance with the Firm's Audit Policy and other relevant policies and procedures. Responsibilities As Audit Senior/Audit Supervisor, you will be responsible for (but not limited to): Completing the audit planning documentation for review on larger/riskier audits with minimal supervision Arranging the timing of the audit work with the Audit Manager responsible for the client Taking responsibility to discuss with the local audit team the incorporation of data analytics within each audit Planning, scheduling and delegating work to Audit Assistants and ensuring they are supported as necessary to complete their work to the standard required Completion of the audit file and all required documentation ready for your Manager's review Briefing, training and debriefing Audit Assistants, giving formal feedback as required Liaising with client staff while at our client's premises and building effective relationships with our clients Monitoring budgeted versus actual time spent, flagging up scope issues, on-site issues and overruns to the Audit Manager on a timely basis Auditing the draft tax computation and tax provisions with supporting schedules and liaising with the tax staff to get these reviewed as required Preparing the draft financial statements to a good standard consistent with the GAAP framework applied, and free from quality control issues Take responsibility for your own development by seeking regular feedback and identifying and acting upon personal development needs About you You will be a qualified CA or have a suitable equivalent qualification or experience.You will also have good organisational skills and be pro-active in your approach to your work. You will have an enquiring mind, good interpersonal skills and a commitment to high levels of client service. Desirable You will ideally have experience in working in one or more of our industry sectors and be looking to broaden your experience across corporate and third sector audit requirements.
