Your Opportunity The Dennis finance team is embarking on a transformation implementing new systems and procedures, simplifying its group structure and completing its first group consolidation under Private Equity ("PE") ownership for 31 December 2019. This new role is an opportunity being recruited to strengthen the technical accounting skills of the finance team, improve the control environment and support improvements in business processes with more automation of the month end processes so that they are akin to a year end close. The Group currently reports under FRS102 but may transition to IFRS for the 2020 year end. Dennis has a fast-paced, non-hierarchical culture; the successful individual will demonstrate a very rounded skill set and will be able to roll up their sleeves to get things done. They will thrive in a fast moving entrepreneurial culture where dynamism and a continuous improvement approach are very visible. The candidate will be key in liaising and providing accurate information to the senior management team and external auditors as well as providing support for the provision of information to the external debt providers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibility for the PE stack companies Post routine monthly journals for UK tax, UK interest Maintenance of Loan note registers and reporting to external stakeholders/investors Balance sheet reconciliations and ensure costs are allocated to the appropriate entities. Assist with Corporation tax compliance and prepare UK tax computations. Completion of tax analysis reports. The development and maintenance of finance policies and procedures. Take ownership of the audit process and financial statement production. Responsibility for monitoring covenants and preparing quarterly compliance certificates Compile and review balance sheet reconciliations. Support the Finance Manager in daily cash management Experience Qualified ACA accountant. ( essential) Practice experience and exposure to financial statement preparation. Accounting under Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Industry experience preferable. Financial statement preparation. Knowledge of Private Equity structures and management of loan notes. Development and implementation of key accounting processes and procedures Your drive must be immediately apparent, as must your ability to enjoy working independently, as well as in a large, busy, collaborative team.
