Team Reporting to the Head of Schemes (Pricing & Underwriting), the Senior Schemes Analyst is responsible for the analysis and optimisation of the performance of our insurer panel schemes. Proactively monitoring both insurer and Endsleigh performance you will identify areas to improve the underwriting footprint and competitiveness of our insurer schemes while protecting insurer loss ratios and the sustainability of our panel. You will also play a leading part in the maintenance and development of Endsleigh's data enrichment concepts, building appropriate pricing models to ensure they remain predicting of insurance risk and commercially valuable. Role The main responsibilities within this role will fall under four main categories, Scheme optimisation, Data enrichment, Information management, and Insurer relationships. You will represent Endsleigh in face to face insurer meetings and create insurer facing packs in support of both pricing and relationship meetings, with appropriate commentary. Further responsibilities within this role will include; Refresh Endsleigh's existing data enrichment concepts models at least annually, ensuring they remain risk predictive and well fitted to real life observations Consider the utilisation of new or existing data sources, whether proprietary of externally sourced, to deliver enrichment concepts that will enhance Endsleigh's competitiveness and value as a partner in our strategic market segments Construct accurate retrospective data sets suitable for insurer analysis of enrichment concepts in their own models Improve the trading performance of Endsleigh and its insurer panel by optimising the quotability and competiveness of the insurer portfolio, reviewing quote and business mix, rating strength and loss ratio/claim frequency, and proactively proposing actions to insurers to stimulate growth and improve the performance of their business with Endsleigh. Deputise for Head of Schemes at internal boards and committees and represent the work of the schemes team, as required Source, design and develop appropriate management information to monitor performance and present internally and externally Respond to ad-hoc queries and MI requests from insurers or Insurer Trading leaders Person Ideally you will have some knowledge of insurer pricing models, underwriting and risk selection. You should have strong relationship and project management skills with an understanding of insurance processes, disciplines and marketplaces. Other key skills and knowledge should include: Strong ability in Excel and Powerpoint Familiarity with Tableau reporting software Competence with Access, SQL, SAS, R, or similar software packages for data extraction and statistical modelling Knowledge of the FCA compliance environment, GDPR data security, and TCF regulations Commercially focussed, prioritises work that adds value Confident and professional approach both internally and externally Numerate Analytical Accurate Collaborative, with some negotiation and influencing skills Reward This is a great opportunity to be part of a transforming business and you will be rewarded by a highly social team culture and competitive salary.
