Robert Walters: Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner I am currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner , on a permanent basis within the Central Birmingham area for a for a reputable business within their field offering bespoke and tailored services , the salary for this position is up to £50,000 - £62,000 per annum plus car allowance and package depending on experience. Must be from professional services, financial services, leagal or real estate background General Requirements of Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner: Drive commercial discipline across the business, leading commercial input to client contract and variation negotiations Provide support for operational teams in budgeting and forecasting by acting as an intelligent interface between operations and corporate finance functions Offered assistance, support and guidance on all commercial issues Developed and expanded the commercial knowledge of the team Provide commercial advice during the business development process In conjunction with the in-house legal team, own development and maintenance of standard contracting scope and terms Identify improvements to commercial procedures Manage the monthly commercial audit process and commercial negotiations in support of contract variations Provide support as necessary in establishing sub-contracting arrangements Implement structures to simplify revenue budgeting and forecasting process Liaise with corporate finance team to enable effective tracking of allocated cost lines - identifying risks and opportunities as appropriate Role Requirements of Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner: Proactive, self-starting, tenacious, focused on the timely delivery of superior but commercially effective results Takes a big picture view and can see the end-to-end process Strong relationship building skills, an effective listener with high levels of professional and personal gravitas that will engender confidence with stakeholders Lateral and creative thinking, able to ask incisive questions, uncover client needs/issues and provide timely and effective solutions A problem solver who is able to react quickly but rationally to address issues and deliver on new opportunities Experience of managing multiple stakeholders and agendas and able to effectively trouble-shoot and flexibly respond to rapidly changing priorities Well organised, good time-manager, meticulous in record keeping and clear understanding of contract priorities, delivery timescales, whilst showing good attention to details and able to plan for multiple deadlines Clear and concise communicator - ensures teams are clear on priorities and expected outcomes etc, responds promptly and fully to client issues Skilled influencer and negotiator, able to work multiple routes to get to an outcome, knows how organisations work and is able to 'find their way around' to get to the right decision makers Qualification Requirements of Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner: Educated to degree level ACMA or similar qualification preferred Demonstrated ability to negotiate, construct and commercially manager professional services contracts A proven track record of the whole life cycle commercial contract and relationship management Senior stakeholder management experience Understanding of the professional services market Must be able to provide examples of creative, commercial flair which have led to upselling opportunities Good knowledge of contract management, KPI measurement/performance reporting Full Driving licence and passport essential as the role will involve travel
