Taylor Hawkes are working with a Top 40 firm of chartered accountants on the recruitment of a Bookkeeper for their Stevenage office. Working out of one of the most impressive accountancy practices in the county, you will receive top class training and exposure to a varied, prestigious client base. Purpose Working within the team responsible for delivering a professional Outsourced bookkeeping and management accounting service for our clients. Responsibilities Posting sales/purchase invoices, receipts and payments Reconciling bank accounts Preparing and posting month end journals, including; accruals, prepayments, deferred income and expenditure and depreciation and month end salary information Input stock movements and preparing and reconciling figures to trial balance Close down month end reports and year end balances Preparation and submission of client's monthly/quarterly VAT returns Dealing with queries as they arise Requirements At least two years' practical experience within a similar role Ideally AAT qualified (but not essential) Organised with the ability to meet strict deadlines, logical and systematic approach, numerate with strong communications skills and the ability to assist clients with Sage reports and queries For more information please contact Jim Knott at Taylor Hawkes
