Assistant Accountant | £22,000 - £24,000 | Chesterfield The Opportunity Are you looking to progress your career within a fast paced, modern and exciting growth SME. You will ideally be AAT qualified (or very close to completing the qualification). The role is a balance of transactional finance (end to end purchase ledger) coupled with wider month end exposure. You will be given chance to get more heavily involved in management accounts pack preparation and various commercially focused analysis and reporting. The business is expanding rapidly, and you will have chance to progress your career and significantly develop the role. The role will initially include: Purchase ledger - full 360 degree including payment runs and resolving all associated queries where required Playing a key role in a project surrounding automating the purchase ledger and implementing robust and high spec new software Supporting the finance manager with reconciliations - bank rec / balance sheet Supporting with VAT return Assisting with monthly management accounts pack preparation Analysis and reporting (KPIs / commercial data) The business requires The role would suit someone with a firm foundation of core accounting skills (purchase ledger / general ledger / core month end) alongside AAT qualification.
