Credit Controller South Queensferry, Scotland £25,000 The Credit Controller is required to assess the credit risk of new customers, constantly review the ongoing risk and level of exposure of current customers, and to ensure that payments are timely: managing the overall debt on the company`s books. Accountabilities: - Maintain strong relationships with all clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment - Organise for new credit and proforma accounts to be opened - Check customer`s credit ratings with Credit Agencies - Manage the timely and effective collection of all debts and payments - Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales - Resolve all issues around outstanding invoices and credit notes - Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avoid bad debts - Provide accounts information to the sales and finance department - Escalate seriously overdue accounts and payment issues - Handle disputed invoices and resolved them within the agreed terms - Periodically review overdue accounts with the Managers and Sales Representatives Knowledge, Skills and Experience: - Previous B2B credit control experience - Solid working knowledge of Microsoft office, with extensive use of Excel. - Maths and English GCSE or equivalent. Competencies: - Professional approach, excellent written and verbal communication skills - Time management skills and a can-do attitude - The ability to work in a team and individually - Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities - Flexible attitude to changing working process and procedures - Good attention to detail - The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines - Numerical and with good excel skills - Ongoing desire to improve and streamline processes Working Hours - 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
