Financial Controller EMEA Hertfordshire Global Pharmaceutical Client Excellent salary, holidays, bonus, car allowance and private Health care and Dental cover Main purpose of the job: Leadership of the European financial reporting and financial transactions team, driving a best in class, effective, efficient, timely, accurate financial support service providing Value add Business Partnering to the organisation. Value Custodian, ensuring financially compliant reporting of the organisation's financial statements both internally and externally for statutory, legal and fiscal purposes. Leadership & Oversight Robust and insightful leadership of the European shared service functions of Financial Accounting, Transactions and related direct and indirect tax ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and timeliness of service delivery. Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Provide advice and support to the business in relation to taxation and accounting. Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting deadlines Financial Reporting & Control Oversight of European financial accounting ensuring adherence to accounting standards, correct tax accounting treatment and timeliness of all internal and external reporting deadlines. Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial statements Maintain credit limits within SAP for UK legal entities Review PPRS levy tax model Approvals & Oversight Transfer Pricing & Taxation Systems & Efficiency Qualifications and Experience Required. A qualified Financial Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA Formal Financial Accounting training and qualification, knowledge of statutory accounting, legal and taxation requirements Exposure to International reporting standards an advantage Proactive approach to solving problems. Resilient and able to continually deliver in a demanding environment and manage multiple priorities and delivery requirements within a short timescale. Capable of building strong working relationships within a large finance team and with cross functional team members. Strong communication skills both to financial and non-financial stakeholders. Able to work under pressure with focus and precision within challenging deadlines. Working knowledge of Excel and relevant financial accounting systems including SAP Detailed understanding of the audit process and ability to manage external providers Detailed understanding of financial reporting standards and UK tax framework.
