Our client, one of the fastest growing FTSE 100s, with a truly innovative customer offering, is looking to source a bright and talented Senior Technical Accountant to join its team. You'll play a key role in the Financial Reporting team, who are responsible for all external numbers, setting and writing accounting policy and any audit related activities. You will lead all the technical accounting preparation for the team, staying up to date on accounting standards, advising the commercial teams, preparing accounting policy notes and other ad hoc projects. Main duties: Preparing accounting position papers to support the Group's treatment of contracts Preparing and delivering training programmes to finance and non-finance stakeholders on areas of complex accounting under IFRS and relevant GAAP Act as a point of contact for external auditors on any technical accounting matters Owning the statutory reporting and group reporting templates to ensure they are up to date Owning the IFRS inbox, to support the commercial teams with technical queries Preparing contract reviews and working closely with legal and commercial teams Supporting writing technical accounting papers for audit committee Key experience and skills required: ACA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent Strong technical proficiency in IFRS Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to those with less knowledge Excellent attention to detail and time management Capable of working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Proactive style of working, comfortable being the 'go-to' for many queries and capable of actioning autonomously This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading employer of choice and play a pivotal role in ensuring the future success of the organisation.
