Our client, a market leading business based in Royston, has an urgent requirement for a management accountant to provide maternity cover. Reporting to the Financial controller, the management accountant will be responsible for the following; Ownership of month end process ensuring preparation, production and completion of the monthly Management Accounts and Board Report for three entities Month end responsibilities to also include: Detailed review of revenue and cost of sales to ensure costs have been allocated correctly Liaising with relevant managers to review costs and drive financial improvement Analysis of variances to budget/forecast Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation's Assisting with financial forecasting Provide pro-active support/business partnering for Operations Management (Operations and Support), including: Gross margin & production variance analysis Inventory reporting Calculation of slow moving and obsolete stock provisions Assist with business planning process The successful candidate will be qualified CIMA/ACCA or ACA and will be available to start in the next two weeks. The role is initially being offered on a 6 month, fixed term contract basis, although could extend. Candidates with prior manufacturing industry experience would be advantageous
