I am looking to recruit an Accountant for my client in Witham. Fantastic opportunity covering a 1 year contract. The role has arisen due to expansion in the team and company growth They are a global professional services firm offering advice & solutions in areas of risk, strategy & people. Duties You will work on a variety of projects assisting the Head of Accounting Operations, covering all regions & operating companies within the Group. Manage the relationship with the offshore provider, including budgeting, billing & change request Change control across all locations globally Accounting operations budgeting and forecasting Lease Accounting Enhancements Acquisitions Prepare reviews & approve complex journal entries, consolidated statements & client carrier reconciliations Analyse, maintain & reconcile GL accounts, balance sheet accounts & administrative systems Prepare financial statements & disclosures & reconcile to appropriate support information Prepare & analyse revenue and expense reports, coordinate revenue & expense accruals & ensure timely & accurate monthly & quarterly close Perform variation & trend analysis for key general ledger accounts Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX procedures, tax regulations, local GAAP/US GAAP & local statutory regulations regarding financial matters Review internal processes & procedures & provide recommendations to management to improve these Assist management in the development & implementation of internal accounting policies, procedures & processes Essential requirements Part Qualified/Fully Qualified Accountant/QBE Minimum of 5 year's experience in a Financial/Accounting environment Proficiency in Microsoft office - advanced Excel Strong organisational skills Ability to work unsupervised, proactively utilising initiative Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
