Finance Assistant Working for an independent school near Guildford, this fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant will suit a car driver who lives locally. Supporting the accounts manager, you will be assisting with all areas of accounts, including sales ledger and credit control. Job Description: Collect information and input extra charges onto invoices Maintain a record of fee discounts, scholarships and bursaries Generate direct debit files for collection of fees Monitor payment of fees, send statements, and chase late payment of fees Provide regular debtor reports for the Director of Finance Export fee run data to Sage 200 Reconcile fee income to the system and pupil data on a termly basis Post bank receipts to fees ledger in Sage 200 Record and bank cheque receipts in a timely manner Administer Council's funding scheme Assist with the preparation of fee budget Record and bank sundry receipts in a timely manner Transaction posting Preparation of weekly bank reconciliation Prepare room fee invoices for teachers on a termly basis Assistance with cash-flow forecasting Assistance with the preparation of information for the external auditors Person Specifications: Previous experience in accounts is essential Experience using Sage 200 or Equivalent Experience working in a school environment is desirable The ability to analyse numbers and think in a critical way Excellent communication skills Driving License Additional Information: Mon-Fri (phone number removed) (flexi-time option available) Salary- £25-28k Car driver Free lunches Free parking 25 days holiday bank holidays We appreciate the time you took to apply for this vacancy, however due to the high level of applications that we receive, we can only respond to successful candidates.
