This is an exciting opportunity for an accounts assistant with some sales ledger clerk experience to work for a growing award-winning manufacturing firm based in Peterborough.This role would suit a hardworking sales ledger clerk or accounts assistant who likes to be kept busy with a varied workload. Key responsibilities for the Sales Ledger Clerk role: Timely & accurate processing of customer invoices & credit notes Raise sundry invoices and recharges as appropriate Raising and Sending Customer Statements Processing Customer Card Payments via PDQ and Online Links Recording Customer Payments from a variety of sources Maintaining Customer Price Lists Management and Maintenance of Customer Data Dealing with Customer Queries Optimising Sales Ledger Processes Invoice Discounting Account Management Management of petty cash and reconciliation process in GBP/EURO/USD. Ordering currency when low. Paypal Processing, posting receipts, and then posting to Sage. Assisting the Head of Finance to deliver financial controls required within the business Requirements Minimum of 2 years accounts experience ideally in sales ledger CIMA/AAT part qualified or fully Naturally strong numeracy levels Credit control experience Confident on Excel including setting up spreadsheets Ideally knowledge of Sage but training will be given Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential Ability to work in a fast pace environment to meet deadlines
