Our client is seeking an immediately available Tax professional in Derby to revamp the organisation's Tax policy and procedures and provide proactive tax advice. The role is a 12 month Fixed Term contract and will suit a strong tax specialist with ability and knowledge to challenge the status quo and improve the processes. Duties will include: The role covers all forms of Tax but is principally focused on VAT Developing a Tax strategy, undertaking Tax planning and optimising the Business' Tax liabilities Implement improvements in the process for VAT to minimise irrecoverable VAT and to optimise Tax liabilities Working on a range of projects across the business providing input and advice to stakeholders on Tax, risk and compliance issues Ensure that the Group's Indirect Tax and corporate Tax affairs are dealt with including liaison with advisors and Tax authorities Prepare and submit Corporate Tax calculations, Intrastat, EC sales and VAT for the business To be successful ideally you will be qualified professionally - CTA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA with substantial experience of providing Tax advice in a complex organisation, although if you are qualified by experience you will be considered. You will have experience of indirect tax and previous experience of working with and influencing senior management.
