Our client is part of a network of accountants looking after small businesses and individual taxpayers nationwide. They are based in Victoria, London with over 400 clients across a variety of industries. We are a lively general practice who are looking for a keen and forward-thinking candidate to join our office as a core member of the team involved in all aspects of office administration and client communication. Ideally you will start Monday, 28th October 2019. Primary responsibilities Preparing sign up documentation for new clients and to manage the engagement process Maintaining our client database being the sole person responsible for updating it and making changes Being the first port of call for clients on the phone and in person Booking meetings and arranging appointments for the Practice Manager and Partner Obtaining a Money Laundering competency certificate and to be aware of the relevance to our industry Invoice raising and taking payments in cash or by card Dealing with the post and scanning/filing as necessary Accessing HMRC to obtain client information or requesting authorisation to act Contacting HMRC by post or by phone to discuss client queries Using Excel to update various lists and processing petty cash records Writing cheques and submitting DS01 and other forms to Companies House Registering clients for VAT, PAYE and requesting UTRs Submitting tax returns and sending confirmation to clients Management of workflow tasks and client lists Dealing with client queries by email and telephone Ad hoc duties as required Qualifications required: Experience using Microsoft Office Ideally GCSEs or equivalent in both Maths and English. Legally authorised to work fulltime in the UK without restriction Likely to have a Practice background Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills Ability to converse confidently with clients An ability to work to deadlines and manage own workload Detail oriented A desire to learn and develop A confident, reliable and well-presented individual with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a team orientated environment.
