A growing business based in York is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team. The Assistant Accountant will report into the Finance Manager supporting with accounting responsibilities for the business. This is an exciting role for a candidate seeking exposure to multiple aspects of a finance team. Key responsibilities will include: Processing purchase invoices, coding and authorisation Regular review of outstanding debts and action necessary payment chasing Invoicing Monthly analysis of business credit card transactions and post to the general ledger Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts To undertake ad hoc tasks as required from time to time by the Finance Manager to assist in the general running of the department To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will need previous experience in a finance position and previous experience using Sage/Xero/Quickbooks or a similar accountancy package.
