Working as a member of a supportive finance function for a recognisable, successful and growing organisation based in Leeds this role will provide direct support to Brand team specifically. This is an evolving position that will grow and develop as the successful individual grows with the business with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility and play a key part in ensuring the finance function operates as smooth as possible. Ensuring the timely and accurate production of the monthly management accounts, including the calculation of relevant accruals and prepayments. Attending and actively participating in monthly accounts reviews with both Leeds and London Finance teams. Providing further analysis of costs to support reviews in both Leeds and London. Production of the brand legal entity balance sheet, including analytical review for review by the Head of Financial Control & Reporting and Head of the Accounting Centre. Assist in the production of the brand specific statutory accounts including timely response to all year-end audit queries. Production of accurate balance sheet reconciliations to the required standard, with any risk exposure identified on a periodic basis. Be involved in and at times deliver ad hoc analysis and projects as required. Ensure all information and process documentation is prepared and processed in accordance with specific policies and procedures, to required deadlines and continuously updated. Identify opportunities for improved efficiency/effectiveness within processes and procedures to meet the needs of the business. Manage the Finance Assistant role by providing support and assistance. Support 'Finance Transformation' and the new system implementation wherever possible This role will suit individuals who have the following skills and experiences: The ideal candidate will have an accounting qualification (ideally part CIMA/ACCA qualified or almost qualified) Have previous experience working in a similar role in an accounts team. Proven ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines, be organised, methodical, and be receptive to change. Excellent process delivery/improvement skills. The role requires computer literacy with Excel and other Microsoft Office packages, experience of using Navision software is extremely advantageous Teamwork skills to suit a variety of different situations. Highly numerate. Effective communication with Finance and non-Finance teams.
