We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant who will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and reporting of the monthly management accounts for our market leading Escrow division. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, additional responsibilities will include providing assistance in working on business process and systems improvement projects as agreed with the wider finance team. This position would suit a part-qualified accountant who is looking to progress in their professional career within a large, global organisation. Key Responsibilities Working as an Assistant Management Accountant for NCC Group you will be responsible for assisting with key duties to ensure the smoothing running of the finance function. Over time your responsibilities will grow to include: Preparation of certain monthly management accounts within the Escrow division, including: o income statement, working capital, capital expenditure, KPIs o commentary on performance and explanation of variances Balance sheet reconciliations, analysis and reviews Assisting with the calculation of the Escrow sales commissions for approval Commercial accounts support to the senior management and sales teams Assisting with the preparation of audit files and dealing with audit queries Systems and process projects to deliver improved business efficiency Responsible for adhering to all internal policy and procedures and to ensure robust financial controls Essential Skills & Characteristics The successful candidate will be seeking an opportunity to develop their accounts experience in a large company environment by undertaking a key finance role in support of our Escrow business division. The applicant will be a part qualified accountant, ideally with previous experience of assisting in the preparation of management accounts to a high standard and providing timely, accurate and insightful information to business management. Proactive, self-starter and finisher Enthusiasm to add value and insight High attention to accuracy, detail, completeness and reconciliation of information Professional level of communication in verbal and written form Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders Part qualified accountant, either AAT or CIMA ideally Previous experience using an ERP accounts system.
