This household name business based in Liverpool city centre are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager in a newly created role working directly with the Head of Finance. Key responsibilities; Responsibility for full P&L forecasting/planning and analysing variances to forecasts, especially focusing on sales and gross margin Provision of key financial management and commercial support to the operations managers with particular focus on understanding and explaining all the business's financial performance Ensuring that branches have robust profit plans in place in order to achieve their budget as a minimum Ensuring the branch understands their financial position with particular focus on sales and margin on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis Rigorously challenging and questioning the Budgets, assumptions and KPIs on an on-going basis, and reporting the feedback to managers Provision of insight into customer and sales representatives performance Delivery and production of the annual financial budget to agreed timetables Reviewing and reporting against budgets on a monthly basis to track performance against including variance analysis for the Senior Leadership Team. Includes the production of the internal Monthly Reporting pack and participate in the Monthly Review Overall production of the Management Accounts and all central reporting required each Month and Year End with the support of a Management Accountant Ensure that all accounting & financial processes are in line with company policies and comply with Corporate Governance requirements and any technical / statutory requirements and that all reporting deadlines are met for internal management and statutory requirements Key requirements; ACCA/ CIMA or ACA Qualified Accountant with Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance Manager experience Proven track record of working with finance & non-finance personnel Experience within a Manufacturing, Retail or FMCG business would be beneficial This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business in a really visible role that can offer board level exposure & a real strategic influence on business decisions.
