Finance Manager | Derby | c £50,000 6% contributory pension flexible working/opportunity to work from home Cherry Professional are pleased to be working with a high growth business based in Derby who are seeking a qualified Finance Manager - paying up to £50,000 6% contributory pension flexible working/opportunity to work from home with further benefits available. The Finance Manager position will be an extremely broad role covering the core elements of financial reporting but also leading the budget, forecast, strategic planning, cash flow forecasting and a wide range of other ad hoc duties. The business is very ambitious and highly acquisitive so there is no doubt your role will grow dramatically over the next 1-2 years. The Finance Manager will also gain excellent senior stakeholder exposure including presenting to the senior leadership team and partnering with heads of department including the regional Directors, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Legal and HR. Review of Management Accounts and finalise the results with the CFO and FC Ensuring the timely reporting of all results to group, including actuals, budgets and forecasts Review of management accounts, Board pack and Directors supplementary pack Monitoring and reporting on cash flow performance, maintaining the rolling forecast Annual budgeting process, as well as the quarterly re-budgeting and full year forecasting processes Continual improvement of management reports to meet the growing needs of the business M&A - assisting integration, accounting treatment and adoption of the business's policies. As Finance Manager you will be a strong entrepreneurial partner to a range of senior stakeholders including the Exec Team and the Board. You will provide finance support, prepare financial analysis for senior management and understand changes in their areas and the impact these may have on the accounting activities. As well as your core responsibilities a huge part of this role will be to look at process improvements with plenty of ad hoc project work thrown in. If you are currently performing a financial reporting role in a larger business/PLC and you are looking for more breadth and accountability in your next move then this would be the perfect next step. Alternatively, if you are looking for your first move from Audit/Practice (ACA/ACCA) then then this would certainly serve as a good step into industry and an opportunity to manage a small team for the first time. Either way, this would make a great move.
