Assistant Management Accountant, Whitchurch area, Part Qualified, £32,000 - £36,000 Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment has partnered with a growing manufacturing business based near Whitchurch in their search for a permanent Part Qualified Assistant Management Accountant. These are exciting times for the business; who have recently launched a new range within their business. Working closely with the Financial Controller, this newly created position will be responsible for all standard costing models & inventory accounting functions. Role Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour. Analysing data collected and recording results Analysing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost Provide accurate standard costs Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures Analysing audits of costs and preparing reports Making estimates of new and proposed product costs Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Maintaining Cost Accounting System Prepare weekly financial costings and report & explain variances Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger & reconciliation of weeklies to monthlies Oversees physical inventories and monitors cycle count program Reconciles physical inventories & w-i-p to stock system & general ledger Developing inventory analysis reports and analysing variances Assisting in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory The successful candidate possesses: Previously assisted in the preparation of Management Accounts.
