United Trust Bank is a diverse specialist bank that provides a wide range of funding facilities and deposit accounts for individuals, businesses and charities. The United Trust Bank Audit Team is looking to hire an Associate who will work as a part of the Internal Audit team, all of whom will be highly supportive. As an Audit Associate you will be encouraged to study towards an appropriate qualification. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Conduct audit testing as required under supervision of senior team members or the Head of Internal Audit (HIA). Ability to identify risks with guidance from senior team members or the HIA. Ability to identify control weaknesses and provide appropriate and pragmatic solution. Present management actions to the HIA. Attend close out meetings and participate in agreeing with the Business on management actions. Log audit findings on an audit tracker to follow-up remedial action. Take ownership and accountability of own work by maintaining all necessary working papers to support audit findings. Manage internal stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications. Maintain awareness of external regulations generated by the FCA/PRA, and other professional bodies, including matters of governance and best practice. Perform audit work in line with CIIA guidelines and code of conduct Skills and Competencies required: Competent IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), presentation skills and an ability to communicate sensitively but effectively. Critical thinking and ability to identify risks. Ability to communicate accurately, both verbally and in writing. Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight time-scales whilst paying attention to detail. The Audit Associate will have access to all the Bank's records and information, much of it of a confidential nature and appropriate professionalism and discretion will need to be exercised. The Audit Associate will have the ability and mind-set to remain independent at all times. Experience Sought: Up to 3 years' experience working in a Banking environment with exposure to Finance or Audit activities Competent IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), presentation skills and an ability to communicate sensitively but effectively.
