Our large specialist Global Manufacturing & Service Business client, based in Newport, is currently recruiting a knowledgeable Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be expected to be able to work as part of a team as well as your own initiative. You will be responsible for all business partnering activities, including month end close for 10 global entities, forecasting and budgeting reviews, departmental MI and reporting. Other principal responsibilities include: Prepare detailed reporting PowerPoint packs for Senior Management - Revenue & Margin, Install & Warranty, Inventory KPIs, Utilisation Rates and more Provide inventory management support by reviewing inventory transactions and adjustments Data entry/manipulation & reporting - bringing the data & numbers to life, by being able to articulate a story so that non-finance managers are better equipped for improved decision-making Assist in margin improvement activities, and cost reduction analysis Supporting/driving continuous improvement initiatives through a willingness to question the status quo Provide input and support on Oracle issues, and have a willingness to become an expert within the group Review current procedures and processes with the view to suggesting and implementing improvements Assist with maintaining and developing strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements The successful candidate will need to be part or newly qualified with CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualification and have a wealth of experience in a manufacturing environment, including reporting to senior management. A number of skills are required for this position: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint & Excel with a range of advanced Excel skills (including lookups, pivots etc) Good knowledge of ERP accounting software, preferably Oracle Experience of working in a fast paced, dynamic business Experience working in business partnering environment Ability to define problems, collect data and analyse to draw actionable conclusions Must be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form Ability to effectively present and communicate information with all levels of management Good communication and teamwork skills If you possess a "can do, will do" attitude, have excellent numeracy and analytical skills and are well organised paying full attention to the small details, please get in touch with us to discuss the role further.
