We are recruiting a part time Financial Controller (North & South EMEA) to join the team located in London. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive financial control, report and process improvement environment to the Growth & Emerging Markets, CBRE GWS EMEA Business Group. Role Summary: Understand, anticipate and deliver customer (internal and external) needs while building effective relationships and managing/initiating change driven by growth Build and develop high level relationships with Business Group, GWS EMEA leadership, other internal staff, customers and external agencies (e.g. auditors) Positively respond to both our internal and external customers through effective communication and personal accessibility whilst representing the business and using commercial acumen In line with SOX requirements, identify control weaknesses and implement appropriate measures to remedy; develop processes, systems and infrastructure to support growth and expansion, also monitor, and manage through others, adherence to policies and procedures Support the implementation of Regional Accounting hubs following the roll out of the Finance Target Operating Model within the Business Group; post implementation in collaboration with the Regional Finance Directors, maintain and develop an exceptional Regional Accounting hub to empower team members to take responsibility and accountability Support the transition and implementation of Dynamics AX across the Business Group, including appropriate user acceptance testing by the regional accounting hubs and integrity of data migration Lead standardisation of processes and continuous improvement including owning operations taking place within the SSC for the Business Group For new and current acquisitions lead acquisition accounting including engaging wider business stakeholders for their input, support or sign off e.g. Corporate Finance; work with the acquired business to produce required financial information e.g. opening balance sheets and completion of purchase accounting entries For any new or existing acquisitions and joint ventures lead and engage wider business stakeholders to manage the financial process regarding consolidation of entities or transfer of entities including, but not limited to, the creation of step plans and transaction steps for these acquisitions and joint ventures and involve the input of stakeholders such as Corporate Finance, Legal, Tax and Treasury Line management of the Growth & Emerging Markets Credit Controller and Corporate Outsourcing Financial Accountants assigned to the Business Group Engaging with the local Finance teams ensure all entities have appropriate cash flow reporting in place and proactively work with Treasury to obtain funding as necessary Maintain balance sheet integrity for the Growth & Emerging Market Business Group legal entities, supporting the regions with their external, internal and SOX audits Keep up to date with developments in financial reporting, SOX requirements and communicate changes to the business Ensure that all reporting requirements both internal and external (month, quarter, year-end, statutory and other periodic requests) are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner for the Business Group Achieve results within constraints; identify, analyse and resolve potential business risks, as well as opportunities and solutions to enhance business performance Convey messages and ideas clearly and openly. Involve people and influence decisions. Creates business relationships that withstand disagreement. Communicate regularly with Regional Finance teams to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements Experience Required: Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent) Track record of implementing suitable processes and procedures, monitoring financial controls, preparation of statutory accounts and an understanding of SOX requirements Multiple years of post-qualification experience & experience of running a central finance team Very strong communication and management skills with high computer literacy Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on, pragmatic delivery Results/ task orientated, with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently Committed to customer service delivery and continuous improvement Calm manner, ability to work under pressure with changing demands and priorities Self-motivated, ambitious, confidential and discrete approach Smart appearance About CBRE Global Workplace Solutions: As one of the business units in CBRE, Global Workplace Solutions provides end-to-end services across the complete lifecycle of the workplace, helping to improve business operations and reduce cost.
