This FTSE250 organisation is a well known British grown brand, a household name, and consistently maintains a strong reputation. The business has operations across the whole of the UK, with expansion in Ireland and France in the past few and upcoming months. The internal audit department is well established and has been adding value to the business for at least the past 5 years. With the introduction of a new Head of Internal Audit, the team has new ambition to offer an even more consultative approach and embed best practice internal audit methodology. This role is a major part of that; they need a Senior Internal Auditor who can lead on audits across the entire business, mentor the group auditors, and introduce strong internal audit methodology. As such, they must have good internal audit experience and creativity/ ideas on how to develop the audit methodology for the business. This role can see you based at either the Croxley (near Watford) or Northampton branch. This role involves mostly UK travel; day trips. There will be travel to France and Ireland that will consist of 1 or 2 overnight stays but not excessive, and always well planned. There is the opportunity to work from home on days that face to face meetings are not scheduled. Drivers license is essential. The ideal candidate will have between 6 and 9 years of overall audit experience, with at least 3 years of internal audit experience. You will have strong operational and risk based audit skills, and love the idea of being responsibility for the audit methodology development. You may have a CIA, however ACA or ACCA can also be considered. Salary is dependant on experience; up to £70,000 plus company car and benefits.
