Credit Risk Analyst London, Hatfield and Darlington Our purpose is to use the power of communications to make a better world. For each other, for our customers, for society and our communities. Why this role matters This role is part of a team who have a direct impact on both P&L and customer experience, who for EE mobile alone are deriving over 160m behavioural scores per year, managing over 6.2bn of monthly credit limit exposure maintaining 500m monthly billed revenue whilst protecting the customer and BT from bad debt. Their focus is delivering credit controls and governance for a consumer base of 19m and for the future as the focus on risk management intensifies. What you'll be doing Maintaining and executing the current and evolving BT Consumer credit strategy for our consumer base. Supporting the development of the solution strategy and solution standards. Draw from best practice and techniques in the high volume credit risk industry and the data management and decision analytics field including machine learning and AI to deliver industry leading agile and effective solutions. Impact assessment and support of key strategic projects. Implementation and configuration of strategies on the decision management platforms used to assess and set controls based on the ongoing credit risk of the consumer base pan BT. Monitoring compliance to policies and feeding back non-compliance where necessary to operational teams. Act as the escalation point for customer complaints regarding credit risk matters feeding back to our customer service and Executive escalation complaints teams. Maintain key relationships across the BT Group including Change Management and Business Improvement teams to support Credit Risk Policy and Process changes for Consumer. We'll also need to see these on your CV Strong understanding of credit and risk as a profession, keeping abreast of external trends / innovation through the relevant professional bodies. Requires thorough understanding of credit risk and fraud policies and processes for large scale organisations. Ability to input to system development and implementation, translating requirements as necessary. Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment including consumer credit act and FCA. Ability to identify external influences on consumer credit risk and impacts of credit risk on key stakeholders. Experienced in developing credit risk process and policies, with good ability in evaluating legal, regulatory (CCA, Ofcom and FCA) and ethical obligations.
