A new role has been created for a Payroll Manager to work in this busy firm of Accountants in Guildford providing a comprehensive service managing a large portfolio of payroll clients and a small team ensuring the timely and accurate reporting and distribution of all payroll responsibilities. Candidates will need to have a minimum of 4 years experience working in either a firm of accountants or a Payroll Bureau environment and be very familiar with STAR Payroll and SAGE having used both extensively in recent roles. You will also most likely be in possession of a payroll qualification. The role will involve full responsibility for the payroll function and team and as a result you will be expected to liaise with HR and Internal Tax departments to maintain compliance with up-to-date legislation and ensure procedures are amended where necessary accordingly. You should have a good demonstrable knowledge of current HMRC legislation and recent staff supervisory skills. This is a full time role and offers flexi-time hours to suit.
