Ruby Group are recruiting two Senior Tax Accountant Positions for a FTSE100 based in North London. The role will report into the Head of Tax and Finance Director. The role will sit within a team of 6 and be based at their head office. The main duties and responsibilities of the role are: - The preparation of the UK corporation tax computations and returns for several companies, liaising with HM Revenue and Customs with regards any enquiries into these companies and preparing tax calculations for statutory accounts purposes as well as quarterly and year end reporting. It will include discussing and agreeing tax treatment adopted for statutory accounts and reporting purposes with auditors as well as analysing the tax implications for the business of any legislative changes. Preparation of VAT returns and related compliance, as well as providing advice and explaining implications of potential decisions as required to the wider business on VAT treatment across the UK and the US.You will play a key role in a busy finance function. In addition, the role will be responsible for assisting the Head of Tax & Finance Director in delivering key tax projects and advising the business with regards investment proposals and any ad hoc corporation tax queries. The position will be a 3-6 month contract position with the opportunity to extend and go permanent. The ideal applicant would be qualified in ACA/ACCA or CTA and have at least 2 years post qualified experience. The candidate would also have knowledge GAAP, IFRS and International tax. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working with both UK & US team. The candidate must be available to start something immediately.
