As a Risk Analyst - Product Control your main responsibilities will be Produce Risk and P&L reports for San UK PLC Banking Books. Assist in the definition and implementation of new requirements and in testing P&L impacts due to modelling changes, new systems or processes as part of the P&L production. Analyse and provide commentary for Risk and P&L results. This includes articulate Risk and P&L issues to Senior management on a timely manner. Analyse and resolve challenges raised by the Front Office Traders. Assist in the setting, reviewing and managing of Market Risk Mandates for permissible trading activity relating to products and potentially limits/triggers to P&L. Be part of the AORP process - reconciliation to the Finance information. P&L prediction for specific desk which includes the Hedge accounting element. Be part of the ROF analysis driven by the accounting numbers which include hedge accounting results. Calculation of Prudent Valuation Adjustments (AVA) and Fair Value Adjustments in line with the Model methodology. This also includes completeness and certification. Minimum skills and experience required Accounting qualification is preferred e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA. Alternatively, you should be Degree qualified in a numerate / technical subject or have equivalent experience. Understanding of risk sensitivities or Greeks. Experience working in a product control function. Strong attention to detail. Understanding hedge accounting concepts.
