Part-time Finance Assistant (25 hours per week) - Shudy Camps - £24,000-£26,000 per annum A niche organisation, based in Shudy Camps near to Haverhill, currently require an experienced Finance Assistant to join them on a permanent basis, working 25 hours per week (preferably across 5 days, however 4 will also be considered). This role is part of a small administration team, and reports in to the Finance Director, however will require the post holder to also provide administrative support when needed. Duties to include: -Bank and cash: daily use of on-line bank link and transfers between bank accounts, production of cheques in line with authorised invoices, maintenance of manual and computerised cash books and petty cash books, reconciliation of bank statements banking and collection of cash from bank. -Maintenance of purchase ledger -Maintenance of sales ledger: raising monthly invoices, verbal and written chasing of outstanding debts, dealing with queries. -Preparation and submission of direct banking payments of creditors, pension contributions and salaries. -Nominal ledger postings and accruals and prepayments -Preparation to enable salary payments via outsource including year end pension returns to the provider. -Monthly production of reports prior to preparation of management accounts. This client is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper with a thorough knowledge of accounting processes and procedures, capable of carrying out the above tasks. As this is part of a small team, it is essential that candidates possess a flexible, willing and helpful attitude and are happy to muck in with other departments when needed. Candidates should have good IT skills, with ideally Sage 50 experience, however this is not essential. Candidates should also possess a confident and patient manner, and a pleasant approach.
