Your Next Role A fantastic opportunity has arose with our rapidly expanding fast growing client in Leighton Buzzard. The position is for that of a Senior Assistant Accountant with responsibility for payroll and the preparation of management accounts. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will provide daily support plus month end preparation. Your
Responsibilities:
Wages preparation & processing on Sage 50 Payroll, including: - New starter and leaver processing - Deductions - salary advances, managing & processing various other deductions - HMRC reporting -monthly/annual reporting (inc, P11ds) - Associated reconciliations to Trial Balance - Reconciliation to Trial Balance. - Actual to Budget Variance analysis. - KPI preparation for Board Pack. - Prepayments & Accruals. - Finance leases - arrangement of and accounting for associated ledger transactions, tracking of, to give visibility of commitment. - Fixed asset register - management of & depreciation calculation, posting to ledger. - Cover for VAT returns, Cashbook - Intrastat returns and Monthly PAYE payments. - Ad hoc reporting and other duties as requested by the FD. Your Experience and Skillset - Essential Part Qualified - Full AAT and preferably studying ACCA/CIMA - Good attention to detail, analytical and reconciliation skills - Intermediate to Advanced Excel - Wages experience, essential. - Preferable Sage Accounts and Payroll - Vat Returns. Preferred attributes/qualities: - Effective time management and prioritisation skills to ensure deadlines are met - Ability to analyse relevant accounting information ie: Purchase Ledger related and the impact on Management Accounts - Confident and enjoy the challenges of making a material contribution to a busy, successful team environment - Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills - Initiative and Drive
