JOB DESCRIPTION We're looking for a talented management accountant, ideally with experience in Sage and hotel accounting to join our team in London. We need your positive attitude, experience and adaptability to help us grow even further as we continue to expand and diversify our business activities. We'll empower you in handling the day-to-day financial activities, as you help us drive forward the business through timely production of management accounts, monthly reconciliations, processing of payroll and book keeping. You'll report to the owners but work closely with all the front desk teams, hotel general managers and the Area Manager, becoming a key part of that team and an integral person within the company. You'll be able to call upon the support of our external accountants who help us with annual accounts and accounting best practices. REQUIREMENTS Relevant qualifications - CIMA; ACCA ; part qualified with up to 10 years relevant experience Experience working as an accountant in a hotel / hotel business is desirable Experience in Sage would be useful - up to 3 years Experience in producing management accounts Experience with producing budgets and forecasts Skilled in Microsoft Excel to a higher level is desirable QUALITIES Team player Loves numbers and the job Diligent with keen attention to detail Technically-minded and quick on computers Prudent Knowledgeable Trustworthy Honest Builds relationships and client focused Self-motivated and resourceful Natural problem solver Good communicator Manages time and priorities well Analytical with the ability to think strategically Compassionate TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES Handle the financial activities of a £6M turnover business, growing to £10M (and beyond) Speak directly with suppliers other service providers Work with the hotel General Managers, the Area Manager and our external accountants Budget with the Area Manager and General Managers Complete book keeping on a monthly basis Produce monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) Financial analysis and planning Sales invoicing and credit control Reconcile bank transactions Monthly processing of payroll and expenses for staff Complete VAT returns Cash flow statements Work with multiple legal entities Reconcile inter-company balances on a monthly basis Collaborate across departments to continually improve processes and improve margins Assist with compiling information for statutory tax returns AWARDS Holiday Entitlement: 20 days per year, plus bank holidays Company bonus scheme Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Full-time SALARY Commensurate with experience and not less than £ 35,000
