Career Opportunities Group Accountant (37563) Req ID 37563 - Posted 05/08/2019 - London - London (UK_LON) - Finance Overall Purpose This role sits in the Group Finance function of Paysafe Group, a fast-growing dynamic Fintech business. Reporting to the Senior Consolidation Accountant, the Group Accountant role requires an individual with strong knowledge of a group close function, controls and consolidation accounting. The role will focus on the running of the Groups consolidation and the control processes around the Group close. The individual will also support the identification and implementation of control and process improvements linked to a wider Group transformation project. The individual will work closely with various functions across the group and global finance teams, including the Groups FP&A, Tax, Business Intelligence and Treasury functions as well as senior management. This role would suit an individual who has previously worked in a group finance function and held a pivotal role in a multicurrency consolidation, has an in depth knowledge of the technical accounting around acquisitions, disposals, consolidation eliminations (Intercompany/Investment & Equity), foreign exchange on consolidation and a practical understanding of the importance of a control environment. The key areas of responsibility are Day to day responsibility of the group consolidation Preparing and reviewing consolidation entries Ensuring appropriate process documentation in place for consolidation controls Review of divisional results and reconciliations from local ledgers to Group consolidation system (HFM) Assisting in ongoing controls/process improvements Driving efficiency of the Group close process Creating and managing reconciliations of certain financial statement line items Timely and accurate period-end financial reporting from HFM Understand and effectively communicate the impact of consolidation journals on the Groups consolidated financial statements Assist in wider Group finance transformation project- ensuring the Group has a repeatable and efficient monthly close and consolidation. Support period-end financial reporting to various stakeholders, including senior management. Skills and Experience Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Good understanding of financial controls and period-end close Experience in working in a corporate/group environment Strong Accountant with experience of preparing consolidation entries and of multi-currency consolidations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Ability to analyse financial data and draw sound conclusions from it HFM/Smartview experience desirable but not essential Attributes Excellent team player with the ability to work pro-actively Highly organised, able to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Dynamic and self-motivated Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarise matters concisely and adapt depending on the stakeholder Ability to analyse financial data and draw sound conclusions from it
