Our client is a growing, entrepreneurial, family owned business that supply healthcare equipment and daily living aids to support independent living. The key responsibilities for Financial Controller role will be as follows: - Production of detailed management accounts - Full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility - Preparing year end accounts for Auditors - Attend senior management meetings, providing commercial updates and insightful commentary regarding business performance. - Financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annually basis; on margins, run rate, overheads, monthly P&L figures. - Oversee all activities related to HMRC and tax compliance including monthly VAT returns - Responsible for the production of all trade invoices, tracking these through to remittance - Chasing suppliers for credit notes/any shortage claims - Negotiating for improved trade terms and pricing with key suppliers - Monthly payroll for 15 employees (if previous experience of - not essential) The successful applicant will be a strong and capable Financial Controller/Finance Manager who will ideally be part qualified but must be able to demonstrate the relevant experience and have undertaken all elements of the role previously. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be comfortable in delivering financial information in a clear and concise way, be able to demonstrate strong accounting, data and analytical skills and be target driven. You will also be very IT Literate and proficient with both QuickBooks and Excel.
