An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced bookkeeper to join a successful accountancy practice in Stockport. They will provide you with in-house training to support you in your new role. responsibilities:
Preparation of VAT returns Bank Reconciliations Maintaining Sales/Purchase ledger Taking accounts up to trial balance Communicating effectively with HMRC Responding professionally and promptly to client queries Willingness to travel to clients' premises Willingness to undertake bookkeeping tasks at clients' premises Qualifications: Ideally AAT qualified Minimum 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping role You will be expected to demonstrate: A good working knowledge of Sage 50 A good knowledge of VAT and the ability to apply VAT rules and regulations Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Knowledge of Xero would be advantageous In addition: Hold a clean UK driving licence and access to a car Be able to work well within a team Committed to your own professional development and a willingness to adapt as the department grows Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and with clients Work to deadlines Attention to detail and excellent time management skills Working week: Monday-Thursday 8.30am - 5.15pm Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (38 hours, full time) If you want to apply for this vacancy, please submit your details to Jon Becker of Acsol Recruitment.
