Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the team based in Waterloo. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum. The Business Analyst role: Here is a tremendous opportunity to join Peabody's Financial Planning team and help us grow by applying your strong business acumen and technical analysis skills to our financial plans. The Business Analyst in Group Financial Planning and Analysis provides strategic and technical support in formulating Peabody's long-term financial plans and in meeting regulatory requirements. We're looking for an experienced analyst, most likely a qualified accountant who can see both the bigger picture and the fine details. This is a pivotal role that requires determination, focus, and strong communication skills. You'll be building plans, testing scenarios and advising on strategies with good exposure to senior leaders within Peabody. Responsibilities of our Business Analyst include: - Implement and enhance corporate-wide short and long term planning processes including process design and set up, target setting, stress testing, and recovery planning, and ensuring regulatory and lender/funder reporting is fully compliant and accurate. - Produce high quality group management reporting to assist in strategic decision making and performance management (including subsidiaries as appropriate), ensuring reporting deadlines are met and right-first-time service is delivered. - Deliver strategic analysis (e.g. benchmarking, VFM analysis inter alia) to support decision makers and advance achievement of Peabody's objectives. - Provide insightful and intelligent variance analysis for monthly PI pack with a commentary on the key drivers of the material variances - Advise and support the business in planning and decision making to ensure Peabody's aims are realised, producing narrative and commentary reports for the Executive Team, Committees and the Board - Continuously review and improve systems and processes, working in a collaborative manner across teams and departments and maintaining a positive approach to change at all times. - Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to support our customers, assessing clients' needs to ensure effective service delivery. - Advise and support clients in resolving their queries and issues, ensuring that their expectations are managed and proactive resolutions are identified. - Update and maintain systems/ records to ensure that information/data is kept up to date and accurate and that KPI's are met. - Establish and implement effective working arrangements & practices to ensure a consistent level of service delivery in line with the Peabody business plan. - Externally represent and promote Peabody effectively by creating a consistent, professional and positive image. - Follow Peabody Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure, as far as is practicable, your own safety and that of others in the workplace. You may be required to undertake specific Health and Safety roles such as Fire Warden or First Aider as part of your duties.
