Ref 13537 Finance Officer Rural location £25,000 - £26,500 Our client is seeking to appoint a Finance Officer to take full responsibility for the Finance Function, for a commercially minded organisation in the not for profit sector. This role would suit someone who prefers to be at the heart of an organisation, someone who is at ease interacting with clients and enjoys maintaining all elements of the accounts. This is a standalone role, however the Finance Officer also works closely, on a daily basis, with the Chief Executive and shares an office with a key operational manager which means that you will also need to be happy working within a multi-disciplined team. Key aspects of the Finance Officer role: Day to day processing of all the accounts transactions, sales and purchase ledger management including supplier liaison and credit control. Bank account and ledger reconciliations. Production and management of journals: accruals, prepayments and depreciation. Monthly payroll including HMRC liaison, and recording of absence. Production of quarterly management accounts, including analysis of budget to actual variance on income and expenditure, highlighting key aspects. Annual budget setting and audit preparations. Ideal Finance Officer will be AAT Qualified, although this is not essential if you have significant experience in a similar position and comparable environment. Proven experience of working in a standalone role will be an advantage. Due to the holistic nature of the organisation, we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and in regards to reporting.
