The Requirements Join us in London as a Credit Manager, FI Credit EMEA This is a unique opportunity to take on an interesting role supporting the NatWest Markets EMEA Financial Institutions Credit team Joining a diverse and dynamic environment, you'll be working with a wide variety of clients from banks, sovereigns, insurance to leveraged funds and finance companies based in the EMEA region You'll be managing a portfolio of counterparties to agree a risk appetite and minimise credit losses As part of our commitment to support you in striking a work-life balance, we offer flexible working with this role This associate level role will initially be based in London with the possibility to be transferred to Amsterdam What you'll do As Credit Manager, you'll be managing the credit risk profile of a portfolio of counterparties. Demonstrating sound judgement, you'll work with the business to agree the risk appetite for your portfolio and will support senior credit officers on new transactions as well as due diligence. Your key deliverables will include: Proactively managing the credit risk profile of the portfolio and making sure that risks are identified, assessed and mitigated to the desired level Working closely with senior credit officers and front office teams on new transactions, providing risk input on key terms and conditions to make sure the structure is consistent with the risk appetite and relevant policies Coordinating an efficient and effective credit approval process for existing and new business to ensure a good customer experience through timely decisions Making sure your portfolio is within agreed KPIs The skills you'll need To be successful in this Credit Manager position, you'll come from a role where credit risk management is a key part of the job, and you'll have a good understanding of financial statements for financial institutions, such as balance sheets and profit and loss. Previous knowledge of financial institution clients and products relevant to the role are also needed, as is knowledge of traded products including derivatives and repos, lending, capital markets funding and trade finance activities, as well as their accompanied documentation. We'll also look for: A strong analytical background which can be applied to transaction and counterparty analysis Good working knowledge of credit grading models Experience of preparing credit applications How we'll reward you In return, we offer a competitive salary and you'll also join our retirement savings plan.
