We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team to perform a robust credit control process and learn strong internal audit procedures. A typical day: Communicating with clients by email and phone Involvement in the company credit control process ensuring prompt payment from our clients Bank reconciliations and cashbook management Working with the Finance Officer in charge of payroll and ledgers to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively Working closely with all areas of the business to resolve any invoicing queries as well as other finance-related enquiries Involvement in the bought ledger; sorting and input of supplier invoices, ensuring authorisation, arranging and conducting payments Involvement with the sales ledger ensuring all invoices are raised and sent in a timely manner Processing company credit card, petty cash and staff expenses Assist with the overflow telephone calls - redirecting calls and taking clear messages Provide administrative support as directed What makes a good candidate? You have great communication skills, both written and verbal You are highly numerate and love numbers You have great attention to detail and the ability to multitask You are organised, flexible, confident and resourceful You have strong IT skills Entry Requirements: Five GCSE grades C - A (or 4-9), including Maths and English Level 3 qualification (BTEC, NVQ or equivalent) B at GCSE Maths Benefits: Gym membership Bike to work scheme Bonus Social events Volunteering Discounts WhiteHat community Pension Working hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm Mon - Fri Included in qualification: Training on the 18 month Standard Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT3) apprenticeship Being a WhiteHat apprentice means access to awesome social events, sports teams, insight/career days with other apprentices to grow your network, as well as your own personal Coach who will guide you through the qualification to help you achieve your full potential. What's next: After your Accounting apprenticeship progress into a full-time role as Junior Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeping Assistant, Junior Tax Consultant or Audit Assistant. You can also complete the ACCA qualification into Chartered Accountancy.
