Our client, a growing restaurant business is seeking a Head of Finance to join their growing business. This role will be highly strategic as well running the day to day business of the finance functions Key
Responsibilities:
Day to day leadership and responsibility for the finance function and team, ensuring the function is able to scale and grow at the right pace for the business. Ability to operate as part of a senior management team, cross functionally and 'represent' finance at a senior level - including Board meeting attendance and presentation Ability to operate in a fast paced business, fast growth environment Strategic thinking - an ability to identify and take accountability for relevant 'bigpicture' opportunities within the business, working closely with the Senior Management team. Responsible for the production, reporting, interpreting and presentation of Financial and Management accounts/ reports for all entities across all group entities [Balance Sheets & P&L], cash flow management and external compliance (HMRC) Be able to manage 'up' and 'down' and feel comfortable at both levels including 3rd party stakeholders - suppliers/ landlords/ bank/ auditors/ investment directors Be 'commercial' in outlook in supporting the business to drive profitability - through ad hoc sales/ menu analysis/ challenging the key P&L KPIs and supporting the non-finance teams to focus on delivering Support all property finance decision making with reporting and analysis - including new site appraisals/ refurbishment projects/ analysis of format ownerships (owned/ franchise/ licensed etc.) Support the International growth of the business with relevant business planning, financial models, and the presentation of compelling business prospectus information. Requirements Qualified accountant or 'QBE' (qualified by significant relevant experience) University degree in Finance/Accounting or related business degree Experience & Knowledge Experience in retail/ hospitality industry Experience in a multi site operation Experience managing a small team Diverse knowledge of current accounting rules and regulations Experience of group finance management and consolidation Drive and curiosity Effective delegation Written, oral and presentation skills
