Interaction Accountancy & Finance currently have an exciting temporary opportunity with our client based in Bedfordshire who are in the market for an Accounts Assistant on a 3-month fixed term contract. The primary objective of this role will be to support an existing team with a large project they are due to commence, delivering compliance services to a large variety of clients.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting a number of clients: anticipating costs, raising fee invoices and agree / action dates for cash collection and managing timetables / expectations
• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing Corporation Tax Returns VAT Return preparation
• Being an ambassador for the business by building and enhancing new and existing relationships respectively
• Professionally representing the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals About you:
• Ability to think analytically and a have high level of attention to detail
• Be driven and resilient to deliver high levels of customer service
• Demonstrate the ability to earn trust and respect amongst colleagues and with clients
• Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a practice environment
• Be working towards a professional qualification - ideally ACCA, ACA or Level 4 AAT
• Recent accounting experience is essential - specifically knowledge of UK GAAP and Companies Law, as well as knowledge of recent developments in relation to accounting and tax compliance
• Previous exposure to owner managed businesses is also essential This is a temporary basis looking to start before the end of October 2019 and will last for 3 months. If you are interested and feel you match the criteria of what is required, please apply today.
