Systems Accountant £27,600 - £30,400 18 Months - 2 Years Fixed Term Contract Full Time Banbury A well known client in Banbury is recruiting an experienced Systems Accountant to join their finance team. You will be managing a team to maintain and develop Financial Systems including key reconciliations as well as the responsibility of procuring and implementing key financial systems. The Role: Make a significant contribution to the meeting of the objectives in the Corporate Finance Annual Service Plan. Assist the Strategic Business Partners so that the team understands individual and collective objectives. To include ensuring the team understands their requirements in terms of governance. To maintain and develop all key financial systems. To procure and implement of all key financial systems. To manage the team to produce reconciliations for all key financial systems according to the timetables set. Ensure that statutory and other statistics and returns relating to services are completed accurately and submitted by the deadlines. Examples - VAT, WGA, Capital, Grants, Collection Fund Accounting, Payroll Returns. Deputise for the Strategic Business Partner as required. Essential: The depth and range of knowledge and experience associated with being a part qualified accountant (e.g. C.C.A.B) or fully qualified AAT with at least 5 years experience covering all the principal accountabilities Good working knowledge of local government accounting principles. Worked in roles maintaining and developing Financial Management Systems. Ability to interpret complex technical accountancy issues and analyse financial data and trends. Ability to use financial and other computer systems to assist in the provision of the principal accountabilities. (e.g. Financial Management System, spread sheets).
