Summary My client is looking to hire an ambitious, career driven, newly qualified accountant, who has ideally completed their training with a Top 20 accountancy practice, to join the Finance team of a fast-growing and ambitious City of London based corporate advisory firm. You will be responsible for managing the day to day finance functions of a listed Plc's as well as working on IPO finance support projects for companies going through the IPO process. You will also assist with other one-off corporate projects to an outstanding variety of clients. As an Assistant Manager, the role will involve working within the Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance. My client provides a full suite of outsourced Plc administration and advisory services to its listed and unlisted corporate clients from its City of London offices. Their clients operate in a broad range of sectors: from food & drink to mining; from sports to media; and from IT to building services, and are located across the globe (Europe, USA, Asia, Africa). The Finance team currently comprises of 4 qualified ACA/ACCA Chartered Accountants and 3 ACA trainees.
Responsibilities:
? Preparing financial models and forecasts; ? IFRS conversions; ? Financial statement preparation under IFRS and FRS 101/102; ? Group management reporting; ? FPPP preparation and controls implementation; ? Valuations including purchase price allocations; ? Accounting for mergers, acquisitions and reverse takeovers; ? Acting as the first point of contact for the client; ? Liaising with the auditors and other advisors of clients. Work based competencies: ? Project management skills; ? Excellent communication skills - verbal and written; ? Self-motivated and an ability to work as part of a team; ? An ability to work to and meet deadlines; ? An ability to build rapport with clients; and ? Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
