Nottingham NG2 3NG Work pattern: Full time - 37 hours, Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm Start date: ASAP End date: Ongoing Contract I'm looking for an experienced Finance Officer to work in a busy Finance Department for a housing association. You will undertake accountancy tasks of a professional and technical nature to deliver effective financial management and high performance of the company affairs. You will report to the strategic finance manager and be responsible for the production of the financial year end accounts budget management, effective financial business planning and financial support to strategic decision making. Key Responsibilities Support the Principle Accountant in the preparation of revenue and capital budgets and the preparation of budget monitoring information. Deliver monthly management account reports and commentaries. Provide expert financial advice to customer's/budget holders, including advice about capital resources to support the preparation of bids of funding from external bodies. Decide how to design and implement effective processes and systems for the planning and monitoring of budgets. Produce information reports and analyse complex data for customers so that customers receive accurate and up to date reports. Set targets, monitor performance and review potential changes to systems to ensure services and/or projects are delivered successfully. Essential Experience: You will have significant operational experience within a large organisation in a similar role. You will have experience of implementing and maintaining financial records and controls across the business. You will have experience of preparing, monitoring and controlling budgets.
