RMS - Resource Management Solutions are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant on behalf of our client, a global ship repair, conversion and marine specialist in Tyne & Wear A permanent position, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company who are at the forefront of their industry. Role Overview: Responsible to the account for the financial support service to the business which will include purchase and sales ledger administration and general accounting. Day to Day duties will include, but are not limited to: Assisting in the financial recording of accounts Assisting in the process and payment of purchase invoices as delegated by the Accountant Creating the sales invoices within Sage 200 and chasing of any overdue accounts Assist in the presentation of monthly and annual accounts Payment of expenses Completion of Financial reports Fully responsible understanding the site HSEQ documents, systems and procedures relevant to their area of responsibility Key Skills: Decision making Meeting Targets Problem solving Commercial Awareness Planning & Organisation Communication & interpersonal relations To be considered this position you must: Fully qualified AAT (or equivalent) with previous financial control and management reporting experience Experience in high-volume purchase ledger department and the ability to liaise with other departments to resolve queries in a timely manner Confident in dealing with external customers when chasing outstanding debtors Sage 200 experience and a competent user of Excel For more information, please contact: Charlotte on or send CV to RMS is an equal opportunities employer and recruits and promotes employees on the basis of suitability for the job.
