We are looking for a capable CFO to provide leadership to Refeyn Ltd, across all key financial and operational aspects of the company. The CFO will work as a key member of the executive team, reporting to the CEO and being held directly accountable to the Board of Directors. In this role, the CFO will be responsible for the development and execution of the company's financial strategy, including working capital management, fundraising, and forecasting / cash flow management. The CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. In particular, we are looking for a candidate with the capacity and willingness to involve themselves in the operational aspects of the business, taking primary responsibility for systems (including HR, recruitment, and organsiational performance) and managing legal / regulatory affairs. As a venture-backed company, experience in fundraising and investor relations will be critical to success. The role represents an exciting opportunity to be part of the leadership of a high achieving, high growth start-up company, with the opportunity to build out the full finance and operations function in the near term. Responsibilities Support the CEO and work with the Board to develop vision and strategy for the company Be responsible for all financial and legal matters of the company, together with external consultants where needed Advise on cash flow and fundraising and provide strategies that the company should take Set up and manage company processes and systems (e.g. payroll, procurement, approvals, IT, HR) Manage all strategic finance initiatives, including venture capital fundraising, partnerships, and M&A Lead the company's investor relations with existing and new potential investors Manage and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including but not limited health and safety, employment, data protection and financial requirements Lead or support key negotiations (supply chain, joint development projects or licensing) Requirements Previous career experience in investment banking, venture capital, or early stage start-ups Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting, and board reporting / corporate governance Ability in decision-making and problem-solving in a high-growth environment Excellent organizational and leaderships skills, with willingness to be involved across the business in a legal / operational capacity Proficient user of finance and operational software Experience with private equity / venture capital investment viewed favourably Bachelors' or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics Professional qualification such as CA/CPA, or a relevant legal qualification such as a JD, will be considered a plus Right to live and work in the United Kingdom Benefits Competitive salary, proportionate to experience and responsibilities 5% Company pension contribution 25 days' annual leave Comprehensive employee insurances including private medical, life assurance, critical illness and income protection Closing date for applications: 17th November 2019
